I have just discovered how amazing LUSH Cosmetics is! All Their products are fresh, handmade and do not contain any preservatives. Which means they have expiry dates within 2-4weeks of purchase and their products must be kept in the fridge. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked the idea of my face products expiring so soon after I bought them. But after thinking it through I changed my mind!
It hit me that their use of all natural ingredients meant amazing benefits for my skin! I’m very cautious with skin care products especially with ones that I apply to my face. Always worried that a product could cause rashes or breakouts on my skin. So I’m ecstatic that I’ve found LUSH’s fresh face masks!
On my first visit to LUSH I got really overwhelmed and didn’t know which face mask to purchase so I ended up walking out with nothing! Instead I went home fired up my computer and did some research on their products. I decided to try out the Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask because it specifically caters to my skin type, combination to oily and because it smelled fantastic! Brazened Honey is a stimulating deep cleansing face mask that is meant to banish dirt and excess oil. Heres an example of some of the ingredients in this face mask straight off the website “Fresh free-range eggs and honey soften, lime oil brightens, spices warm the skin and ground almonds exfoliate. Kaolin clay reaches deep down into pores to pull out dirt and impurities, leaving your skin noticeably brighter and fresher.” I mean come on after reading this I was SOLD!
Excuse my ugly clothes in the picture those are my PJs, I was about to hit the shower! How I use this face mask is I apply it to my face, wait 10 mins then rinse the product off. Now the first thing I must say is that I did not get a warming effect from this face mask. It may be because I applied it to my face straight out of the fridge. Some exfoliating face masks feel harsh to the touch. I know I’ve tried some that with one swipe on my face I thought it was doing more damage than any good because of how coarse the product felt. But the texture of this face mask was perferct and it actually had a soothing effect. After cleansing my skin felt smooth and refreshed. Best of all no break outs!
I’m so impressed with Brazened Honey and I cannot wait to try out not only the other fresh face mask but the rest of LUSH’s handmade goodies!
