While I was at the mall with my mom and sister we walked around London Drugs and I spotted a sale on the Maybelline Fit Me products! There has been alot of hype associated with this line so I was curious to try them out! I’m so glad that I did!
There are two finishes to this foundation, Hydrate and smooth which happens to be the original formula and their newest one, Matte and poreless. I have combination skin to oily skin type. I get shiny in the T-zone area as the day goes on but nothing to extreme. I decided to try out the Hydrate and Smooth version because I already own 2 foundations that have demi-matte finishes and wanted a foundation that would offer something different. Shade 220 in natural beige matches perfectly! I am a NC35 in MAC and a 5.0 in Urban decay’s naked skin foundation for reference.

I really like this foundation! It offers medium coverage, does not feel sticky on the skin, nor does it get cakey. It applies and blends evenly and perfectly Fits Me as the foundation suggests. There is no scent to the foundation which is fantastic because I find my skin gets irritated with makeup that carries a scent. I love the finish of this foundation! It gives a dewy glow to the skin without making you look greasy and oily. My wear time for this foundation was 6 hours with one powder touch up to my nose area. Other than that the foundation everywhere held up great! I totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good foundation at an affordable price.
Out of the foundation and concealer I was more curious to try the concealer out. I have heard so many claims that this concealer is a dupe for NARS radiant creamy concealer and in some cases some have said that it is even better than the NARS one. Now I don’t own the NARS concealer so I cannot compare it to that but I will compare it to my naked skin concealer by Urban Decay. The fit me concealer is creamier and thicker than my naked skin one. I like the doe foot applicator on my naked skin one more than the fit me one. I feel that the doe foot applicator on my naked skin picks up more product in one dip than the fit me one. As far as coverage.. I say that the winner is my new Maybelline fit me concealer! My basis? I have a scar in the middle of my nose and the Maybelline fit me concealer does a better job at covering it up than my naked skin one! With that being said I still do love my naked skin concealer. Its a perfect concealer for highlighting.
Left is my before picture without any makeup on just moisturizer. On the right is me with just the concealer under my eyes, chin, and on my nose! You can barely see my scar anymore and those dark circles are history!
If you’re looking for inexpensive good quality foundation and concealer for everyday wear definitely give these a try!
Do you own these products? Is it a hit or miss with you?
Until next time lippies – Beth Xo
Have you tried the L’Oreal True Match Foundation?
No I haven’t! I’ve heard a lot about it though 🙂 do you like it??
Yes, I love the Lumi one! I was just wondering what the two were like when compared:)
If I ever try it out I’ll be sure to do a comparison 🙂
I love Maybelline Fit me concealer and foundation! 🙂 I use them both nearly everyday haha. xx
