Kat Von D LOLITA

Oh Lolita how you have caused the beauty world so much trouble with your stubbornness. Since December of last year you have been impossible to find! And when found were not your true dusty rose self which caused a many to fret and despair. Although there were some who came to love the rebellious darker you. Alas I have gotten a hold of both your egos, the studded kiss and the everlasting liquid lipstick.

Hi Lippies so FINALLY, FINALLY I have both the Studded kiss Lolita and the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Lolita. Now as many know, in December there was a brown batch or ‘Bad Batch’ that circled around and although many disliked that shade I happened to love it! But of course it was all sold out! So I waited around, missed a couple restocks cause apparently even though the product is in your basket it can still be sold to someone else! But I finally received my long awaited Lolita last week.

Above is the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and the Bottom we have the Studded Kiss Lippie. Lolita is described as a dusty rose. As you can see the liquid lipstick is still very brown in colour however not as dark as the one back in December. I personally having loved Lolita’s darker self was pleased to receive this!  Those of you who have read my previous kat von d review know that I LOVE the formula of the everlasting liquid lipstick. Its wear time is out of this world amazing! You can swipe it on and forget about it. It does not transfer, I mean I have a hard time removing it with makeup remover. Lolita in this lipstick formula is opaque in colour. The lipstick glides on glossy and dries matte. As for the studded kiss Lolita the colour is true to its dusty rose claims. Stunning is how I would describe this.  Again no problems with the application. The lipstick is smooth and comfortable to wear. The longevity of this lipstick is not as good as the liquid form but it holds its own ground. I can wear this a full day with minimal touch ups. It also leaves behind a nice stain.

I wanted to show a comparison swatch between Stila’s stay all day liquid lipstick in Patina and Lolita. Above is Patina and below we have Lolita. Lolita is darker and more brown in colour but they are very similar applied on the lips and in pictures you can’t even tell the difference. So for those of you who are still chasing Lolita I’d suggest taking a look at Patina!

Is Lolita worth the hype? YES she is. Same name, two very different colours and formulas.
