Semisweet Chocolate Bar Palette

Semisweet Chocolate Bar Palette

I know I’m late to the party but better late than never right?! Too Faced semisweet chocolate bar palette is to die for! Would you believe that I never fancied this palette? I would walk by it at Sephora all the time, pick it up, swatch it and always decided to pass on it. Thankfully my amazing hubby bought it for me for Mother’s Day this year and I’ve been using the palette everyday since!

Lets talk a bit about the packaging. How freaking cute is this?! Its compact, not to bulky and portable. The names for each shadow is written on the palette which is a plus cause this was not the case for the original chocolate bar palette. Its sturdy, it survived my overly packed bag that I took along with me to the island this week which my daughters used as a trampoline. Not one shadow broke!

So I had swatch pictures to accompany these close up palette pictures but for some reason the files were corrupted and I was unable to post them for you all 🙁 So you will just have to trust me when I say that the shadows are amazing! Their super pigmented, incredibly buttery smooth, blendable, but best of all they are infused with every womans weakness COCOA! This palette smells devine!

Heres a closer look at the shadows on the left side of the palette. As I was saying these shadows blend easily that even the darkest shade Licorice is wearable. You can apply it sparingly for a more toned down eye or go all out to sport that dramatic look. My least favourite colour in this palette would have to be pink sugar its way to chunky that all it gives you is glitter. I use it over top a shadow if I’m looking for just that more glitter.

I gravitate more towards this side of the palette considering that we’re into the summer months. I just did an eye look with blueberry swirl and it was gorgeous! This blue is not to dark nor to light you could wear this everyday. Peanut butter has to be my most used and cherished colour in this palette! Love it in my crease. Nougat and Mousse are up there too.

I am so happy the hubby decided to surprise me with this palette. I honestly was not expecting to love it as much as I do! I have been able to use every single shadow  in this palette which is rare for me. I have the Naked 1 and Naked 3 palette and tend to not touch the shadows that are on the ends. I have to say that the too faced semisweet chocolate bar is by far my  favourite shadow palette. I love it more than the Naked ones and even the Tartelette! I’m considering buying the original one as well 🙂

Do you own any of the Chocolate bar palettes? Which one is your fave?

Until next time lippies – Beth Xo

It’s so expensive because we don’t get it here in South Africa. And those who import it- sell it at crazy prices!
