Estée Lauder Double Wear

This review will be short and sweet. Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place foundation is blow your mind AMAZING!!! It claims to wear for 15 hours and to hold up in any climate and let me tell you this foundation delivers!

I didnt get a chance to test it out for the full 15 hours, I wore it for 12 hours at best, and at the end of 12 hours it was still flawless even throughout the summer heat! A little shiny on my nose area but nothing to horrible. Usually with my skin I’d be an oily mess in the t-zone area after a good 6-8 hour wear. The formula of the foundation wasn’t drying but I wouldn’t say that it hydrated my skin either. I don’t feel that it oxidizes and the colour range for this foundation is fantastic!! I will complain about the foundation not coming with a pump though!! So inconvenient and so much product wasted without one! I did however purchase a MAC one which fits perfectly if you cut a bit of the bottom off as its a tad to long for the bottle. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this baby over and over again!

Have you ever tried this foundation? Is it your holy grail?

Until next time lippies – Beth Xo

What do you think the foundation would be like with drier skin?? Great post btw!

Honestly in the winter time my skin looks for a more hydrating foundation. This foundation I feel is more geared towards oily skin types cause it mattifies to the max and may feel to drying for someone who already has drier skin. BUT with that being said I would suggest giving it a try cause you won’t know until you test it out. Sephora offers a great return policy if ever the product doesn’t work out for you. The wear time on this foundation is amazing!

I was hoping to try it out but since I live in the uk it’s pretty pricey, so I’m not sure whether to go for it if it doesn’t work, I did think it was more aimed at oily or normal skin types but since I have some discolouration, really mild and a couple of spots I wanted to actually try something that was full coverage! Thanks so much for letting me know!

I’ve wanted to try this into past when my skin was more oily! I was always worried it would feel too heavy though.

When I used a brush to apply it I admit it did feel heavy but with a beauty blender it’s perfection.
