Maybelline Mascaras 

Hi loves welcome back! So I’ve been on a hunt for my HG drugstore mascara and so far have really been digging Maybelline’s formula! 

The three I have to review for you today are The colossal volume express cat eye, Rocket Volume, and The falsies. Now I own all of these in the non waterproof formula with the exception of the falsies I have both the waterproof and non waterproof in that. Originally I had purchased the waterproof version of the falsies and then realized that personally I am not a fan of waterproof mascara as they are a pain in the ass to remove from my lashes! Even with eye makeup remover solution.

As you can see the Colossal volume express cat eye and the Falsies both have similar brushes and the rocket volume has a thicker brush with shorter spikes. 

Before I begin I will say that my lashes are naturally SHORT and THIN. No length or volume whatsoever. And I’m just to lazy to learn how to wear false lashes 😏🙈 so these mascara may work better for you than myself. I always say don’t knock it till you try it! 

Let’s start with The Colossal Volume express cat eye. Unfortunately this did not offer me any volume nor extra length. I do like how the brush is able to fit into your inner corner lashes with ease. The formula did not flake nor smudge. I don’t see myself repurchasing this product. 

The Rocket Volume did offer a tad bit more volume to my lashes but nothing dramatic where I would say OMG THIS IS AMAZING! HG! What I don’t like about this mascara is how THICK the brush is! I don’t know I guess that’s what’s supposed to help with giving your lashes volume but it didn’t do much for me. 

Bring on The falsies mascara and we have a WINNER!! This mascara really does elongate your lashes and makes them look like falsies! While I was wearing it My husband actually asked if I had fake lashes on! Boo ya dream come true! Now as I said I own this mascara in both the waterproof and nonwaterproof and or whatever reason the waterproof mascara works better than the non waterproof one. With that being said the non waterproof still does an amazing job!! I’m not gonna lie I used the waterproof mascara over the holidays for the parties I attended because I wanted a more dramatic look. I just dealt with the consequences of trying to remove it afterwards 😏.  I will be repurchasing this product! 

One thing I do is combine the falsies and rocket volume mascaras. I apply a coat of the falsies then proceed to apply the rocket volume and combined that offers me the look I am going for with my lashes
