I finally got my hands on the Loreal true match Lumi foundation!!!!!! I have been hunting for this foundation for quite sometime now and my colour has always either been sold out or if there were some in stock they were opened and tested out. So I was ecstatic when I finally found it!
This foundation claims to last 8 hours, have a lightweight feel with buildable coverage, can be used by all skin types and is supposed to make your skin look healthier and more luminous the more you wear it. This foundation is also made up of 40% water for all day hydration. It also comes with SPF 20 which is an added bonus. The Loreal true match Lumi comes in 3 different colour tones C for cool, N for neutral and W for Warm. I think this is fantastic as there is a wide variety of colours in this line.
I have combination to oily skin type. Oily in the t-zone and depending on what time of the year normal to dry. Being that it is winter time and the weather is dry and cold I was looking for a more hydrating foundation and have heard such good reviews on the Loreal true match Lumi foundation that I had to give it a try.
I am in LOVE with this foundations packaging! It comes in a glass bottle complete with a pump!! All foundations should come with one in my opinion. I am the shade W5 and for reference I am NC 35 in MAC prolongwear and Tawny in estee lauder’s double wear foundation.
Here are some comparison swatches next to my other foundations
My first impression on this foundation is that it delivers! I wore this foundation for 6 hours, did not set it with a powder cause I wanted to see how well this foundation preformed and it was still in tact. I did however use my Maybelline Master Prime primer underneath (which I’ll have a full review on soon!) I got a little oily in my t-zone but it actually held up better than my Maybelline fit me foundation. I think I will be reaching more for my Loreal true match Lumi more often than the fit me. The foundation did not oxidize. One thing I will say is that I feel that when you are looking at the colour in the bottle it is actually lighter than what it appears to be on your skin. So keep that in mind. I almost went for the W6 cause I thought W5 would be to light but it’s actually a perfect match for me. It felt lightweight, didn’t cake, and was buildable. I would’ve been happy with 1 layer but I slapped on another layer just to test it out and it worked fab.
If you are looking for an affordable foundation that offers hydration, great colour selection, good coverage and wear time give the Loreal true match Lumi a try.
What are your favourite foundations? If we share the same shade in any of the above foundations that I mentioned please leave your shade match in your fave foundations so I can pick up samples easier 😉
Until next time Lippies.

This is my favorite foundation! I am also W5 in this but sometimes I mix the Lumi with the original True Match in N5. I am 60 in Neutrogena Healthy Skin and 7 in Urban Decay Naked Skin! Thanks so much for the review; it was wonderful as always! I’m glad you love it as much as I do! Xoxo!
