Pink casing, sugar coated names and Chocolate hearts, Too faced sure knows the way to a girls heart.
Yet again too faced has come out with an amazing palette! I own the semisweet chocolate bar palette and that palette is my go to whether it be for everyday or for a special occasion I love it so much. (I have yet to own the original chocolate bar palette but eventually it will be mine!!) I was so excited when they released the chocolate Bon bons palette I’ve been using it everyday since!
The packaging of this palette is the same as that of her other two sister palettes. The names of the shadows are written on the palette which is fantastic and the palette comes with a huge mirror which is great for travelling. It’s sturdy but best of all its PINK!!!
The shadows smell amazing as their infused with real cocoa, it makes you just want to eat it up! For the most part the shadows are pigmented, smooth, buttery and apply easily with little fall out. They also build up well.
Almond truffle, satin sheets, sprinkles, molasses chip, malted
Cashew chew, cotton candy, Cafe au lait, Bordeaux, mocha, black currant
Dark truffle, pecan praline, totally fetch, earl grey, divinity
One thing I do find disappointing is that the colourful fun shades don’t transfer onto my lid as well as I had hoped. In particular Sprinkles, Cotton Candy, and Black Currant. I tried wetting my brush and I also always use an eyeshadow primer and yet these shadows still weren’t so great. I have even tried using NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk as a base and still not a winner. I mean the shadows show up on my lids just not as pigmented as I would like. Which sucks because I picked up the palette specifically for these shades! Totally fetch however has great colour pay off.
My favourite colours in this palette so far are Earl Grey, Bordeaux, Mocha and Satin sheets. Bordeaux and mocha are my go to crease shades which is a surprise to me as I thought I would lean more towards almond truffle like most youtubers do in their tutorials. I have yet to play around with Malted, Dark truffle, cashew chew and Pecan praline.
Here’s a comparison between the semisweet and the chocolate bon bons. If I had to choose between them I would say that the semi sweet wins! The only colour that didn’t work for me in the semisweet palette was pink sugar where as in the chocolate Bon bons palette has a few that didn’t work for me.
Well that’s all for now! Do you own any of the chocolate bar palettes? Which one is your fave?
Until next time Lippies
