Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

I have been on an endless hunt to find my holy grail concealer..I cannot say for sure yet if Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is the answer to my prayers but I can say that so far I am really enjoying it!

This concealer claims to be ‘ideal for all skin types. It is a multi-action formula that instantly obscures imperfections, blurs lines and wrinkles, hides dark circles and signs of fatigue. Hydrating and luxuriously smooth, it layers lightly for buildable medium to full coverage and natural luminous finish. Multi-active botanical blend hydrates, firms reduces redness and strengthens the skin by helping its barrier retain vital moisture. it also delivers antioxidant protection to protect the skin against damaging free radicals.

Skin becomes visibly smooth, soft and more even toned. Mineral tone balancing powder works to optically correct, not mask, imperfections to keep skin looking flawless.

Worn under or over foundation, or even on bare skin a single stroke of radiant creamy concealer keeps the complexion looking fresh and creaseless. It goes on smoothly, blends easily and stays in place all day. Comfortable and hydrated skin glows with new radiance.

WOW that was a mouthful! So Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer sure has a whole lot of claims! Now time for MY review 😉

This concealer comes in a wand type packaging with a doe foot applicator. If you are familiar with the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, the Nars is quite similar but much prettier. You get 0.22 oz or 6mL of product in the tube.  I purchased the shade Custard.

On the left is me without any foundation or concealer on, just moisturizer. On the right is my with estee lauder double wear foundation in the shade Tawny and the Nars creamy radiant concealer under both eyes.

Now which claims were true for me. I agree that this concealer is a medium coverage. I have not tried to layer it and build it up to a full coverage so I’m not sure on that aspect. I have only used this concealer underneath my eyes, over my foundation so I can’t speak on redness control or blurring imperfections because I don’t really have problems in that area. I rarely get pimples and when I do its a HUGE one that cannot be concealed and in the center of my face somewhere.

I agree that it blurs fine lines to a certain degree. I have yet to find a concealer that does not settle into any fine lines. Nars Creamy Radiant concealer does settle into fine lines BUT it has surpassed any concealer I have tried in this area because it doesn’t settle into all my fine lines. I personally don’t believe there is a concealer out there that will FULLY mask your fine lines and if there is let me know! I personally feel that this concealer does a fantastic job at smoothing out my under eye area and agree that it looks more fresh, luminous and bright.

The formula is creamy with a medium thickness consistency. It is not sticky, oily, nor to matte. I agree that this concealer is hydrating. It is very lightweight, you can’t even feel it on your skin and it’s not cakey at all. As for being crease proof yes I agree!! My under eye are stays smooth throughout the day.

Now for the main reason I purchased this concealer, my dark circles. I have horrible dark circles and I can say that this concealer does the best job at masking them compared to any other concealer I have tried. However with that being said it still does not FULLY mask them. I still feel like my under eye area is a tad bit dark. With that being said I just ordered Urban Decay’s new naked skin color corrector in Peach and am hoping this will do the trick for me!

Now for my tiny complaint. Why, oh why Nars is there so little product in the tube? As I mentioned earlier there is only 6mL of product and with the consistency of the concealer being on the thicker side it doesn’t spread out as well across my under eyes and I find myself having to re dip the wand for more product. I feel that I’m going to run out of it quickly.

So there you have it! Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer is by far the best concealer I have ever worn however I still cannot deem it my holy grail because it doesn’t fully mask my dark circles and because it does settle into some fine lines still.
