Hey beauties! Today I bring you my June beauty favorites. I took a poll on my instagram and asked whether you loves wanted to read about my June beauty favorites or stay at home mom (SAHM) tips and this post was the winner. Foundations and concealers

June is a weird month for my skin. This month is when my skin starts to transition between my normal-dry winter skin, to my combination-oily summer skin. Choosing the right foundation at this time of the year is key to keep my complexion looking glowy versus a greasy mess.

L’oreal Pro Glow

The L’oreal pro glow foundation is hands down my favorite drugstore foundation to get that luminous glow. The formula of this foundation is light weight. It offers a medium coverage and just the right amount of hydration that my skin looks for during these transition months. The weather in Vancouver between the month of June to the beginning of July is not to humid, so this foundation is perfect. Any hotter, then this foundation tends to run a little oily on me. NARS Sheer Glow

In my opinion the NARS sheer glow foundation is the high end version of the L’oreal pro glow foundation. The difference between the two would be that the NARS can actually withstand the summer heat. Just one of the reasons why NARS Sheer glow is the foundation I love to use year round. This foundation claims to be a medium to full coverage but I find that it only builds up to a medium.  The foundation is lightweight, it doesn’t feel cakey and holds up well in my T-zone area. I wear the shade Stromboli, in the summer months I can move up a shade to Barcelona.

Urban Decay Naked Skin

My all time favorite summer concealer is the Urban Decay Naked Skin weightless complete coverage concealer. Wow that was a mouthful! A lot of concealers I’ve tried are thick in consistency so during the summer months they can feel oily under my eyes and begin to crease. This baby gets the job done while still remaining lightweight. I wear the shade medium light neutral.

Bronzer, blush and powders

Too Faced Sun Bunny

The too faced sun bunny bronzer is hands down the BEST bronzer ever. I have tried numerous drugstore and high end bronzers but I always find myself coming back to this one. Sun Bunny gives you the perfect combo of golden iridescence to keep you looking sunkissed throughout the day.  It’s super pigmented so use a light hand when applying or you’ll end up looking like an oompa loompa. NARS Orgasm

Nars Orgasm need I say more? For the longest time I refused to buy this bronzer because of the price. I just couldn’t justify spending that much on a blush! I mean it costs as much as a foundation! Thankfully I was given a gift card to Sephora which lead me to take the plunge and purchase the Nars Orgasm blush. Now I know why everyone raves about this blush. Orgasm is peachy pink with a shimmer finish. In the pan can look a little daunting to put on your face but once it’s on the skin it’s barely noticeable and instead leaves you with a natural glow. Exactly what I look for during the summer months. I think this blush would look great on many skin tones.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish

I carry the MAC mineralize skinfinish powder in my purse everywhere I go. If you walk away with just one June beauty favorites product today let this be it. It’s so versatile you need this in your daily makeup bag. I use this powder to set the foundation all over my face. I also use it to touch up my t-zone area through out the day. I wear the shade medium plus. For reference I am shade NC35 in the prolong wear foundation or NC30 in the studio fix foundation.

Liquid lipsticks

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) in the shade Dolce is a must have for the summer. This is my go to lipstick shade of the season. It’s described as a muted coral. This liquid lipstick dries to a matte finish but the reason I love this liquid lipstick so much is that it does not transfer. So eat away baby. Wanna see these lipsticks in action? Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

Kat Von D (KVD) everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Requiem is a soft lilac lipstick perfect for when you are looking to add a pop of color to your look. This liquid lip, like the ABH lip, dries to a matte finish and is  also transfer proof! The formula is not drying and is comfortable on the lips. Bonus! Body

Victoria Secret Fragrance Lotion

I have been using the Victoria Secret (VS) lotions since highschool. My signature scent that I awlays wear is Love Spell, my hubby always jokes that I put a spell on him in highschool with that scent. When I came across  the VS summer line, I fell in love with Sunset Crush. It’s coconutty and smells like you’re on vacation at the Bahamas! I’ll be drenching myself in this all summer long!

Bath and Body Works 3-Wick Candles

I know this post reads June beauty favorites but I couldn’t help but throw in a home product that I have been loving. I live for Bath and Body Works 3-wick candles! My home is just incomplete without them. I love how Bath and Body Works has different scents for every season and keeps my home smelling fresh no matter what I’ve got cooking. The scent tiki beach smells like pina coladas and I am all about the vacay vibe during the summer months. Plus its this candle has pineapples all over it and the cutest quote which is so my thing, how could I not love it?!
